Types of FSSAI License

FSSAI License can be of three types.

  • FSSAI Central License

  • FSSAI State License

It is important to note that the eatery must only operate in one state in order to obtain a State FSSAI License in Delhi. If an eatery’s annual turnover is between 12 lakh and 20 lakh INR, it will need State permission. The maximum resident period for this permit is also 5 years, with a one-year minimum.

  • Essential FSSAI Registration

Small and low-turnover eateries with a yearly income of less than one lakh rupees would be required to register with the FSSAI (essential). The State Government of the respective state also provides this FSSAI enlistment. The maximum and minimum residency periods for this permit are 5 years and 1 year, respectively.
