How Might You Obtain the FSSAI License?

  • Begin by submitting Form A, an enlisting application, or Form B, a state and focal permit application, to the Food and Safety Department.
  • You can also apply for the FoSCoS admission online.
  • Attach the required reports to your application to the Food and Safety Department, or upload them to your FoSCoS entry while applying.
  • This application will be recognized or rejected by the office within seven days of receipt, and the rejection must be communicated to the candidate in writing.

Types of FSSAI License

FSSAI License can be of three types.

  • FSSAI Central License

The Central Government is likely to issue a Central Food License to Food Business Operators (FBOs). A focus food permit is only valid if a state has been operational for more than a month. The focal permission then applies just to the focal office, although it covers all of the offices throughout the country. Typically, eateries (FBOs) with a yearly turnover of more than 20 crores are granted central permission. The Central License has a maximum residency of 5 years and a minimum residency of 1 year.

  • FSSAI State License

To obtain the FSSAI state permit, small to medium-sized eateries are used. This permit is issued by the government of the state in which the party seeks to open an eatery. It is important to note that the eatery must only operate in one state in order to obtain a State FSSAI License in Delhi. If an eatery’s annual turnover is between 12 lakh and 20 lakh INR, it will need State permission. The maximum resident period for this permit is also 5 years, with a one-year minimum.

  • Essential FSSAI Registration

Small and low-turnover eateries with a yearly income of less than one lakh rupees would be required to register with the FSSAI (essential). The State Government of the respective state also provides this FSSAI enlistment. The maximum and minimum residency periods for this permit are 5 years and 1 year, respectively.

What Are the Documents Required to Obtain an FSSAI License?
